1980 Suzuki RM250 Restoration!

My 1980 Suzuki RM250 is a fully restored bike I bought off of a good friend of mine who has over 200 bikes in his collection. Mike, the previous owner, has had this bike for a long time and looks like it came out of the restoration process yesterday. The bike was restored to its original condition as much as possible with the exception of some stickers added. Let me know if the rear suspension (shocks) are stock and the muffler. Those are the only two things that I question myself on.

Since I’m a big Suzuki fan and already have a few Suzuki bikes, this fits right into my showroom. This bike won’t see fuel in the tank again since it’s a true showpiece. As time passes, it is getting harder to find original bikes to restore. A few checklist items to go through when looking at purchasing a bike to restore would be clean bottom frame rails, a good condition swing arm, and clean footpegs and foot controls. These parts will tell a story about how the bike has been treated through its owners. It is also helpful if you have the original exhaust and muffler to restore.
