"The Manipuri term “maangba” is used when a woman is in period and it is upsetting. Because, “maangba” means impure, but if the blood flowing out of us is impure, then are we, who were born from it, impure too?" said Elcy Sharma Shamurailatpam. She is currently a biology Lecturer in Inspire Science Academy.
