Emerson Drives Part 1: Product Overview

Описание к видео Emerson Drives Part 1: Product Overview

Brad Vorrie presents Emerson Drives part 1.

This video is designed to introduce you to the Emerson Line of Drives.

There are 3 drives in this family, the Epsilon, the Digitax, and the Unidrive SP.

The Epsilon is a 240V drive and is available in single phase or 3 phase depending on the size you need. It has built in configurable IO, including 16in and 8 out as well as analog in and out. All the drives have Modbus RTU. The –P version of this drive allows for Ethernet Modbus TCP or Ethernet IP. These drives also have an encoder output connector for easy electronic gearing and synchronization to other servos.

The Digitax drives are a 230V or 460V offered in single phase or 3 phase. They can be ordered in current ratings up to 8A continuous and 24A peak. There are 3 user selectable inputs and 3 inputs that can be configured as status outputs. Analog inputs and outputs are available as well. This drive offers safe torque off for a safe internal disconnection of 3 phase power to the drive. There are also 2 additional solution module slots which an be used to expand IO, provide universal encoder feedback, add an Ethernet port for Ethernet IP interface and more.

The Unidrive SP is inherently a VFD, but with the addition of a solution module it becomes a servo drive. These drives are rated for 240 or 480VAC single phase or 3 phase and go all the way up to 210A continuous and 315A Peak. I typically use these drives for larger applications when the servo exceeds the current requirements of the digitax. The Unidrive SP drive offers a lot of the same features as the Digitax including safe torque off and solution modules.
