The Paramaguru Sharath Jois Tour Scholarship is dedicated to making attendance on his U.S. tour accessible for everyone. The practice of yoga is a universal human resource and no person should be denied the opportunity to practice due to lack of economic means. Through this scholarship program, our goal is to bridge the divide between the allocated resources in society and the need for yoga. Two scholarships are available for each location in the U.S. and are open to anyone who desires to attend and is experiencing financial hardship. All applications must be completed in total to be accepted. Responses will be looked at for creativity, special circumstances, financial need, potential leadership in the yoga community, and regularity of practice. We will notify the winners on April 8, 2019.

Sharath Jois is the Director of KPJAYI, the Ashtanga Yoga Institute in Mysore, India. SharathJi taught alongside his grandfather, Krishna Pattabhi Jois, for many years and he is the world’s most advanced Ashtanga Yoga practitioner.
