Covaci Viktor from Dragomiresti, Maramures County, Romania, plays two pieces from the nearly forgotten Jewish repetoire of Maramures, learned from his late brothers Gheorghe Ioannei and Nicolae, both of whom had played with Jewish musicians in their youth. the first is a dance called "Khapes" ('Grab 'em' in Yiddish) and the second is a widespread 'huset' also known from the Muzsikas recoding with covaci Gheorghe zis Cioata from Vadu Izei.
