Here's another video of some solder melting!

In this video, I melt some more solder scraps and pieces under the microscope. I'm using the same hotplate from the last video, but this time I placed a Fun World Token on top of the hotplate to collect the solder. Some of the solder was very old and left behind its "skin" on the top of the solder.

I filmed this using my Samsung Galaxy S10+ cell phone mounted to my microscope. The microscope optics sit only a few inches above the hot plate and melted solder, so it is very easy to see the the smoke and heat waves generated from the melting solder. Perhaps I should add a small fan to help keep things clear and in focus.
