There is a debate going around about NBA players who could succeed in the NFL or vice versa. That got us thinking about how some of the best dual-sport football and basketball players to ever do it came from ACC schools. Julius Peppers dominated on the football field and was a key part of the Tar Heels 2000 Final Four team. Ronald Curry quarterbacked both teams for UNC, playing 54 games at point guard and leading the team in assists in 2001 while racking up over 6,000 yards of offense in 4 seasons at Carolina before a 7-year career in the NFL. FSU quarterback Charlie Ward won the Heisman Trophy in 1993 and is still the Seminoles' all-time career steals leader and had a very successful 11-year career in the NBA. Rusty LaRue excelled as quarterback, breaking several NCAA records on the football field and guard on the basketball team, leading Wake Forest to the NCAA Tournament 4 times. Jimmy Graham was a beast on the basketball court for 4 years before playing the 2009 season for the football team and catching five touchdowns before an amazing career in the NFL. Here's a look at what these amazing dual-sport athletes did during their time competing in the ACC.
