Nirmal Das Mahan, a young man from Chhattisgarh, had been struggling with extremely high eye power for many years — -17D in the right eye and around -15D in the left. He relied on thick glasses for almost 8–10 years, which affected nearly every part of his daily life.
From studying and playing sports to riding his bike, everything became difficult. In winter, the glasses constantly fogged up, and in summer sweat made wearing them uncomfortable. Gradually, he also began to feel a drop in his confidence due to having to depend on such heavy spectacles.
Locally, Nirmal consulted multiple doctors and even visited a well-known eye institute, but was told that with such high numbers, no surgical solution was available — only glasses. Despite this, he kept searching for a possible solution.
One day, while watching YouTube videos, he came across Dr. Rahil Chaudhary and the work being done at Eye7 Hospitals.Through Dr. Rahil’s detailed explainer videos, he learned about ICL surgery and realized that even high powers like his could now be corrected.
This gave him hope — and after some research he decided to travel to Delhi and get treated at Eye7 Hospitals. After thorough evaluation, he underwent successful ICL surgery with Dr. Sanjay Chaudhary.
At his follow-up visit, Nirmal shared his joy: for the first time in years, he woke up to clear vision — no glasses needed. Though there’s still slight blurriness due to post-op eye drops, his doctors assured him it will continue to improve in the coming days.
Beaming with a newfound confidence, Nirmal is now eager to return to everything he loves — playing cricket, riding his bike, and enjoying life without the barrier of glasses.
He extends his heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Rahil Chaudhary, Dr. Sanjay Chaudhary, and the entire Eye7 team for giving him not just clear vision, but a fresh start in life.
