A tragic hit-and-run incident in Delhi has resulted in the death of a young man after a speeding Scorpio, allegedly performing stunts for Instagram reels, struck him. The driver, initially identified as 19 years old in the FIR, was later confirmed to be a 17-year-old juvenile based on MCD and Aadhaar documents. The Juvenile Justice Board has granted the accused bail to appear for board exams starting 17 February 2026. Delhi Police also detained the father of the minor under the Motor Vehicle Act, though he was subsequently released on bail as the charges were bailable. CCTV footage confirms the vehicle was moving at a very high speed in a reckless manner. The victim's mother has alleged that the SUV did not apply brakes after the crash and that medical help arrived too late. An autopsy report accessed by the network indicates the victim died within minutes due to cerebral hemorrhages. The investigation continues as the family demands justice for the deceased.
