LIRR Cannonball Montauk to Jamaica

Описание к видео LIRR Cannonball Montauk to Jamaica

The Cannonball is the flagship Long Island Railroad train. It runs from Penn Station in Midtown Manhattan to Montauk on the eastern end of Suffolk County. The total distance that it travels is 118 miles. It is longer than the Amtrak Hiawatha (86 miles) and Amtrak Valley Flyer (102 miles). Up until 2019, there was reserved seating in the first four cars of the Cannonball. This was known as the Hamptons Reserve. Passengers in the Hamptons Reserve could purchase snacks and drinks onboard.

The Cannonball departs Penn Station at 4:07 P.M. on Fridays throughout the year, stopping at Westhampton, Southampton, Bridgehampton, East Hampton, and Montauk. During Sundays in the summer and Labor Day Monday, the Cannonball West departs from Montauk at 6:22 P.M. It makes all stops from Montauk to Westhampton before operating nonstop to Jamaica. After Jamaica, it terminates at Penn Station.

Keeping it real, this train was NOT the Cannonball West. However, this train was a super express that made local stops from Montauk to Speonk before operating nonstop to Jamaica. This train didn't go to Penn (it wouldn't be feasible for me to make a Cannonball or Cannonball West video). Without further ado, pretend that you're a Hamptons Reserve passenger. Grab a snack and a drink and enjoy the ride.
