Building our off grid chicken coop from materials found on the property. Using a hammer and some nails we took old kitchen cabinets, bed rails and scrap wood and build us a chicken coop!

We are an American couple in our 50's who moved to Italy to live the dream of homesteading, self reliance and sustainability. This is our journey of living abroad, the good, the not so good and everything in between. Living in nature, learning new things and loving life. We welcome you to enjoy tranquility with us as we live each day exploring our five acre paradise; from the nature walks through our Chestnut and Hazelnut forest, to the infinite views and amazing sunsets, to the beauty of the natural spring and waterfall, to our vegetable gardening and mini farming.
