Compound Intervals

Описание к видео Compound Intervals

This video demonstrates just some of the many compound interval ideas from my book, Creative Intervallic Guitar Soloing.

The extra-wide leaps required when playing compound intervals (any interval that is larger than an octave) can result in quite whacky-sounding lines. Furthermore, they often produce counterpoint as there is an inherent “call and response” quality between the low and high notes.
Hybrid Picking is an obvious choice when playing consecutive notes that are several strings apart, although, when played high up on the neck, some wide stretches combined with string skips can be another useful option.

To develop a fresh perspective on scales that will help you to extract bold and distinct flavours as well as control the mood of your solos, start working your way through Creative Intervallic Guitar Soloing and explore the stunning possibilities available from each different interval-type.
