ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The tape containing the above footage was found by Agent “Bolide” at a yard sale in Lincoln, NE as part of a routine yard sale check operation. The footage is of a home recording of Station 4 KLSE-TV (a National Broadcasting Network station local to Fargo, ND), who was broadcasting a rerun of Arthur during the time the footage was recorded. During informal questioning of the seller, they claimed the tapes being sold were blank and had not been used since their purchase. Nine (9) VHS and two (2) Betamax tapes were purchased from the yard sale, and of these, three (3) VHS tapes and one (1) Betamax tape were found to have content. The above footage came from one of the aforementioned VHS tapes.

While the recording itself is non-anomalous, the severe thunderstorm warning contained therein is suspected to have been associated with an anomalous weather event. The warning originated from the National Weather Service office in Grand Forks, ND, and was most likely broadcast from station WXK42 in Fargo, ND. For brevity, only the portion of the recording containing the severe thunderstorm warning has been uploaded here.

The unusual wording and duration of the featured warning suggests that a Type-IV supercell had formed at the time of broadcast. However, radar and satellite imagery, as well as records of warnings issued by the National Weather Service, show no evidence of this event occurring at the date and time indicated by the S.A.M.E. codes. At the time of this writing, no known reports of an accidental EAS activation or intentional broadcast intrusion have been found.

Further investigation into this event by Minerva personnel is ongoing. Updates on the investigation will be provided as information becomes available.
