Q Center and the Gay & Lesbian Archives of the Pacific Northwest (GLAPN) have partnered on a multi-media celebration of LGBTQ pioneers and leaders from our local movement, Queer Heroes NW!

The project will be unveiled in June of 2012, with a new queer hero (nominated by the greater LGBTQ community) featured every day online during Pride month. The 30 queer heroes will also be featured on the walls of the Aaron Hall Gallery at Q Center for the month of June, as well as in Q Center's booth at the south waterfront Pride festival.

From there, the portable display will be making the rounds all over community centers, schools, churches, and businesses in the Pacific NW! Help us honor our queer heroes by spreading the word. If you would like to sign up to be one of the many hosts of the online project during June, please send an email to [email protected] and an embed code will be provided to you in advance of the launch.
