In marketing, the rules aren't written in stone. Here you can listen in on a call with the Meta Pro team regarding rejected ads.

After mentioning third-party financing in an appliance ad, our client's content was rejected and misclassified as promoting "financial services". The first time it happened, we appealed the rejection and were excited to see that the ad was approved. We then ran the ad for a week before gathering data for analytics. We expected no trouble when moving to promote the ad for a second time, but...

The second time we ran the ad, it was REJECTED for mentioning financing... Rejected, AGAIN, even after being approved and running for a full week.

To prevent future setbacks, we decided that it wasn't worth it to mention financing in any appliance ads. We started over and ran a duplicate ad with the SAME photos, text and targeting; the only exception being that we deleted the word "financing". We figured out a budget and moved to promote this new ad...

But, despite containing nothing about financing, this ad was rejected! This was the third rejection on our account for no reason. It seemed like we were blacklisted.

Our team quickly filed a grievance with Facebook (Meta) and received a call from Rick with the Meta Pro team later that evening.

Unfortunately, as you can hear from this call, there are a lot of holes and red flags with Facebook's handling of the situation. "Just keep running ads" doesn't seem like the best answer when we're concerned about a restricted account getting diminished results on what used to be a sustainable budget... Running ads is only a good idea if we know it's going to get our client's the highest ROI... aimlessly spending money with no promise of a return will put us out of business.

The next call with Grace from Meta (future video) is far less friendly and it even sounds like she loses patience with us for taking serious an issue that has been unresolved for over a month!
