The Glamorganshire Canal, Whitchurch, Cardiff (How it looked then and How it looks now).

Описание к видео The Glamorganshire Canal, Whitchurch, Cardiff (How it looked then and How it looks now).

The #Glamorganshire #Canal from Merthyr Tydfil to Cardiff was opened in June 1792. The canal was about 25 miles long with around 50 locks. After many years of operation it was declared closed in 1944. This stretch in Whitchurch is part of the Forest Farm nature reserve and the canal is about a mile long. A popular beauty spot and great for walking including your dogs.
