How to replace a faulty ignition switch on a Mk1 (1997 -2001) Honda CRV.I am no mechanic but this is an easy DIY job.Whole job took under 1hr to do.Several other Honda models had this problem with worn contacts on the ignition switch causing the car to suddenly cut out.There was a Honda recall for this problem in 2002 so check with them first to see if it can be done by them for free.Honda told me that my vehicle had no outstanding recall items so maybe it had already been done and had failed again?I bought the switch off ebay for around £17 from the USA instead of around £70 here in the UK.
