In the movie Jurassic World (2015), there is one of the most intense and chaotic scenes of the Pteranodon attack. During the panic in the park, a woman — the assistant who was taking care of Claire Dearing's nephews — is captured by one of the Pteranodons and carried into the air. In mid-flight, another Pteranodon tries to snatch her from the first one's clutches, and after a brief aerial struggle, manages to catch her.

While she is being carried above the Mosasaurus tank, the Pteranodon drops her into the water, but before she can escape, it grabs her again and tries to take flight. However, this time, when the Pteranodon is about to ascend, the Mosasaurus emerges forcefully from the depths — devouring the woman and the Pteranodon at the same time — in one of the most surprising and brutal moments of the film, showing the true dominance of the Mosasaurus at the top of the food chain.
