How tall did glossopteris grow? Glossopteris was the largest and best-known genus of the extinct order of seed ferns known as Glossopteridales. A look at some large fossilised glossopteris trees that have been deposited within a fluvial delta setting of the late Permian on the east coast of Australia. One of the trees measures over 13 feet tall.
