Wow! AC Transit sometimes got some hidden gems! Although this bus is a XD60 that runs on diesel, with the HVAC on this unit sounds like a Hybrid! That is right, a hybrid, like those XDE60 buses that MUNI has from the Flynn division! Surprisingly this unit just sounds so great, in which it does not sound like a diesel at all! It sounds the best at the point when the bus accelerates and brakes, a slightly high-pitched moan!

I've been calling the 57 a rollercoaster ride, given how MacArthur Blvd is sometimes being cut off by the freeway right next to it, causing multiple sections of MacArthur Blvd to be a bit hilly, when a bus (or preferably a Van Hool) goes through this area it's fun to ride, as it feels like you're riding a rollercoaster, especially if you're with a fast operator that hauls!
