I remember a lot of the beats, but not necessarily when I make them. I made this one back in October. This one marked my first show, out of the house, since the pandemic began (Stoop Storytelling). I was gathered, safely, in a room full of storytellers and artists. It was one one of those rare occurrences where I felt like I was exactly where I was supposed to be, doing what I love the most, and arriving at a new pinnacle.

Because people must love what you do, if they are willing to risk their own lives and safety to bring you into a room. That message is for all of us. Since then, I have hunkered down quite a bit, and I am thankful for the continued need for art and stories. Let’s us all stay safe.

I didn’t peak that night. It was just one ridge on an ongoing journey. That night, I paused to take a 360 view of all I had accomplished.
