September Boating in Desolation Sound! - Picturesque Walsh Cove Provincial Park in 2024

Our boating season winds down with a late summer trip into beautiful Desolation Sound. The summer crowds have thinned dramatically, and many anchorages have emptied out. This is my favorite time of year: crisp mornings, warm afternoons, and peaceful evenings.

In this video, some footage of the famous mountain views at the entrance to Homfray Channel is followed by highlights from time spent in Walsh Cove Provincial Park at the north end of Waddington Channel. It's been a fantastic summer of boating, but the fall weather is on the way, with more and more rain and cool temps on the horizon. It's almost time to pull the boat out, prep it for winter, and switch back to RVing. Stay tuned. :)
