Project Description:
The Summerfield Music School provides music education opportunities for local area students. The school fills a gap for several local school districts that cannot fund music classes for their own schools. The director of the school asked you to create a slide show that he can use to tell the community about the services available at the school and the yearly music festival held each spring. You create a presentation to inform the public about the school’s services using design guidelines. You include shapes, icons, multimedia, animations, and transitions in the presentation.

1 Start PowerPoint. Download and open the file named Exp22_PPT_Ch02_HOE_Music.pptx. Grader has automatically added your last name to the beginning of the filename.
2 For better readability and contrast you make changes to the title placeholder on the slide. You then use the Format Painter to apply this change to the remainder of the title placeholders in presentation.

Select the Title placeholder border on Slide 2. Change the font size to 66, the font color to White, Text 1, and apply Italic. Use the Format Painter to apply the changes made to the Title placeholder to the titles on Slides 3-7.
3 The image on the slide is not relevant to the information on the slide so you delete it. You shorten the text in the bullet points to just the key ideas and remove unnecessary information.

On Slide 2, delete the image in the upper-right corner of the slide. Highlight the text in the first bullet point and type Instruction. Highlight the text in the second bullet point and type Instruments. Replace the third bullet point text with the text Performance Program. Delete the fourth bullet point text and bullet.
4 Now that you have shortened the text to key points only, you increase the font size and color for readability and to balance.

Select the three bullet points on the slide, change the font size to 40 and the font color to Dark Blue, Accent 4.
5 The illustration on the slide is inconsistent with other image styles in the presentation so you delete it. The change in font color uses the same accent color that was used on Slide 2, adding consistency to the presentation.

On Slide 3, delete the illustration under the text box. Change the font color of the text Master Violin Class to Dark Blue, Accent 4.
6 You align the two lines of text in the text box to the left, making a clean alignment on the slide.

On Slide 7, Align Left the two lines of text in the content placeholder.
