Situated between Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and the Vaucluse Plain, the Luberon offers a patchwork of landscapes.

Most of its villages are world-famous. One of them, Roussillon, stands out from the rest. Situated in the heart of one of the biggest ochre deposits in the world, its façades come in an amazing array of colours. Artist François Tapiezo shows us around this lunar landscape. Here, nature is the real artist!

But the Luberon is not the only place in France to boast such stunning red landscapes. In Northern Brittany, the Aod ar vein ruz, the ‘coast of red stones’, also captures the heart and imagination of visitors with its beautiful red tones. This time, the color red comes from a very rare granite stone that can be found only in three places in the whole world.
