Curing koi pond with excess mucus foam caused by skin parasites, a new treatment using de foam

Описание к видео Curing koi pond with excess mucus foam caused by skin parasites, a new treatment using de foam

Fish naturally produce slime as a defense against ectoparasites. This slime acts as a protective barrier to prevent parasites from attaching to the fish's skin. However, in the case of koi in this fish pond, excessive slime production prevented effective treatment of the Trichodina and skin fluke fish parasites. While a single round of medication would have typically been effective, the abundant slime coat inadvertently shielded the parasites from direct contact with the treatment, allowing them to survive and continue harming the fish. In this video, we explore the issues caused by excessive slime and demonstrate a novel modified treatment approach for a successful cure to the fish diseases.
