[English description below] Théodor Salomé gewann 1861 den begehrten "Prix de Rome", eine Auszeichnung mit der ein Stipendium und ein mehrjähriger Studienaufenthalt in Rom verbunden war. Als Organist wirkte er in Paris an der Chororgel der "La Trinité" und u.a. als Kapellmeister am "Lycée Saint-Louis". Für Orgel schrieb er zahlreiche Stücke, so auch die Sammlung von zehn Stücken, die den "Grand Choeur" enthält. Die eher klassizistische Gestaltung entspricht ganz dem damaligen Zeitgeschmack. Die kleine Melodie der Eröffnung wird direkt im Kanon geführt um in Akkorden zu enden worauf das Pedal antwortet. Ein Schema, was Salomé im ersten Teil durchgängig beibehält. Eine kleine Überleitung führt zu einer kleinen Fuge im Mittelteil, die in der parallelen Molltonart steht. Dem Mittelteil folgt der Anfangsteil, der in verkürzter Form eine Verdichtung aus der Übereinanderlagerung von Melodie und Akkorden einen gesteigerten Abschluss bietet.

Die Tonaufnahme erfolgte im Raum mit vier Kanälen, Bildaufnahmen am Spieltisch mit einer Videokamera sowie Smartphone und vom Pedal mit einer Videokamera.

In 1861 Théodor Salomé won the coveted "Prix de Rome", an award that was linked to a scholarship and a study visit to Rome lasting several years. As an organist he worked in Paris on the choir organ of "La Trinité" and, among other things, as master of music at the "Lycée Saint-Louis". He wrote numerous pieces for the organ, including the collection of ten pieces that contains the "Grand Choeur". The more classical design corresponds to the taste of the time. The small melody of the opening is led directly in the canon to end in chords to which the pedal answers. A scheme that Salomé maintains throughout the first part. A small transition leads to a small fugue in the middle section, which is in the parallel minor key. The middle section is followed by the beginning section, which in a shortened form offers a condensation of the overlaying of melody and chords and a heightened conclusion.
