Botumban dance by Dusun Tagahas from Kiulu

Botumban is an iconic dance of Dusun from Kiulu, one of the sub-ethnic groups of Kadazandusun lives in Tuaran district. This traditional dance depicts the life of villagers working together to farm or fish. Because of teamwork and positive spirits, they are able to overcome any challenge and get the jobs done successfully.

Botumban is performed during celebrations, festivals, welcoming, wedding and other social gathering. The dance performed by this group (Olumaya D'Art) is Botumban Mangambaraion. These dancers are Dusun Tagahas from Kiulu, and they are wearing a beautiful costume named Sinulamba.
