What Lies Below is a tough track to remix because there's so little of it. It's just the heavy stems and the unmixed stems (which I prefer not to use); no light combat or ambience to thread each section together. I think this is because What Lies Below was first developed as the boss track for The Old One. However, when the levels were split up last minute, the id Software devs suddenly needed music for the latter half of The Cosmic Realm because four levels with Into the Void as the main suite might not have been exciting enough. As a result, What Lies Below was reused for Temple of Lomarith and Belly of the Beast. This explains why there's no distinct "What Lies Below suite" featuring unique ambient and light combat stems. The end result here is nearly identical to the OST version, but I tried my best to distinguish it as much as possible. It made my job harder, that's for sure.
