Ryan Cole works for the Minneapolis Public Archives, cataloguing abandoned storage units. When he finds a manuscript analyzing a documentary that doesn't exist—written by a deaf man about sound—he dismisses it as curiosity. But the manuscript describes the Whitmore Apartments, a building fifteen minutes from his home. A building with five floors.

As Ryan reads deeper, his own apartment begins to change. The hallway grows longer. Measurements stop making sense. And somewhere above the fifth floor, a red door waits.

This is a slow-burn psychological horror story inspired by the works of Shirley Jackson and Mark Z. Danielewski. No jump scares. No gore. Just the slow, creeping realization that some spaces shouldn't be measured. Some doors shouldn't be opened. And some patterns, once started, cannot be stopped.
