Mapping Google's Women Techmakers Around the Globe

Google’s Women Techmakers program was designed to help women build community, grow their individual brands, and thrive in their tech careers. Each year, Women Techmakers welcomes Ambassadors who are supporting their community by hosting events, creating content, and mentoring the next generation. To tell the stories of Ambassadors around the world, our team built an immersive web experience with Google Maps Platform. From Saudi Arabia to Brazil, the map functions as an all-in-one storytelling hub to share the experiences of these women in their own words.

Join us to learn how we used Google Maps Platform products to build the map. We’ll also share resources and guidance on how you can use these tools to bring your community’s stories to life. And we will be catch up in conversation with two of the inspiring Ambassadors we featured in the Story Map: Helen Okereke, an engineer and community leader in Enugu, Nigeria. And Gina Acosta Gutierrez, a data, entrepreneur and expert in Lima, Peru.
