In this video, I shared why Finance students should learn Python and databases. This is one of my longer videos, where I talk about both the “why” and the “how” of learning to code in Python—drawing from my own personal experience.
Since I spoke freely without a script, you may notice a few small mistakes, like saying “hiring manager” instead of “manager.” Please feel free to ignore those slips.

In the video, I mentioned my university, i.e. AUT. I personally feel AUT have one of the best courses in finance out there (this is my Personal Opinion, please do your own Research), and the faculty are super great, some of the best minds in the industry and very, very humble (this is a Fact). Because there is no point in being the best if I am not humble.
The skill-gap analysis is an individual activity; no university will make you do it. It is an introspective activity of "Where I want to be, Where I am today and What I need to do (today and near future) to get a chance of Where I want to be after my graduation or after this event". It's like I'm making a blueprint of my future career path. This is a life habit. Simply put, Be Prepared Better. I always have a Plan B, C, D, E and so on because I do my Skill-gap analysis beforehand.
