If you count carefully, you'll find that: In 2024, the Goslings breeding community had only about 20 geese and goslings in total.
Last year, that number was over 40!
Considering the number of parents remained constant—always between three and five pairs (why are there seven adult geese in this group… I'll ask them after I learn goose language)—it's clear that the number of goslings has decreased dramatically.
This year's weather is normal; we can't blame abnormal weather. So, I can give three reasons:
1- Crazy anglers.
The influx of anglers has thoroughly destroyed the lake area.
a- These guys have caused devastating damage to the vegetation and ecosystem along the shore and nearshore in their search for fishing spots.
b- Large amounts of aquatic plants have been cut down or even uprooted while dragging their hooks underwater. These inhumane anglers don't even bother to throw the hooked aquatic plants back into the water to return them to the ecological cycle… instead, they dump large quantities of these plants on the shore to avoid interfering with their fishing.
c- These inhumane anglers discard countless hooks and lines in the water. They've turned aquatic animal feeding grounds into a death trap!
So you see, whether in the water or on land, whether for animals or humans, these anglers are utterly and inhuman destroyers.
2. Lazy and inactive government officials.
Not to mention the lake area's garbage—especially in the water—which has been left unattended for years, and other chaotic issues. I'll just give one example: these lazy guys, too lazy to manage/work, have even removed several garbage bins around the lake! This will obviously worsen the lake area's garbage problem.
3. The stupid and inactive Lake District Conservation Association.
I've complained about these guys several times before. Over the years, what I've observed is that, apart from (based on hearsay and lies) preventing people from feeding birds and running a website to make money, they seem uninterested in anything. In short, making others unhappy is their only pursuit.
In conclusion, these three types of people, working together, have caused irreversible damage to the lake area—why do I say the damage is irreversible? Why do I hate these three types of people so much? —I will reveal the answer in future videos.
