Does your program want you to lead simulation for medical students and residents? Do you feel confident in your bedside clinical teaching skills, but falter when it comes to guiding learners through a simulated patient experience? Are you interested in learning more about best simulation debriefing practices, but lack the time and money for a formal debriefing course? This 50-minute didactic is an abbreviated version of a faculty development curriculum for novice simulation educators created by the SAEM Simulation Academy. Through facilitated discussions and debriefing roleplay, participants will develop the tools to lead debriefings and incorporate critical elements of best debriefing practices in their future simulation education.
