Breathtaking Abandoned 200 year old Manor House Forgotten For Decades Up North

The original stone portion of this house was built in the early 1800’s between 1810-1820. The family who the house was built for operated a large grain mill back in the early 1800’s which was successful enough that they were able to build the large Georgian stone house. Later on descendants of the same family added on a large brick back addition sometime in the mid 1800’s as families grew and more space was needed. A large dairy barn was also built around this time as well. Loved this historic old house, unfortunately the farm fell under eminent domain and will be torn down for a new highway exit and expansion of the existing road as it sits very close too a busy intersection. The house features beautiful grounds with mature chestnut trees that somehow survived the blight, I found tons of unripe chestnuts and a few good ones in the yard. I’m sure the trees were very convenient back in the day and a good snack. Thanks for watching glad it’s saved and documented before the house is gone.
