BSR TD2 Reel To Reel Tape Deck...

...Revisited!

I serviced this reel to reel tape deck and restored all mechanical functions, but playback was muted (see previous video "Pt 1. BSR TD2 Reel To Reel Tape Deck (Rebadged by Elpico, Serviced by me!)."

Further investigation revealed a dry solder joint. A bit of prodding and it unattached itself completely from the playback head. After the wire was re-soldered loud playback was restored

The tape that came with the reel to reel player is old, from the 1960's & early 1970's, so I included a few music clips of music originally recorded in the 60's & 70's, and at the end of the video is a rather dated, and therefore interesting short clip of some DJ banter (adverts are priced in shillings!). And an advert for 'Fry's Tiffin's chocolate Bar'.

I might go through this tape and record just the DJ/talking bits and knock up a YouTube video...
