The Monastery of Transfiguration is known to many as " The Bukidnon Monastery". It is one of the most visited sites in Bukidnon.

It is located 5km away from the city center, at the top of a hill in San Jose Village, Malaybalay, Bukidnon --- away from the hustle and bustle of the city and known as the home of the Benedictine Monks where you can relax, pray, and be in unity with nature. It can be reached thru multicab or motorcycle at a negotiable price or you can go with your private car or van.

As a place of peace and prayer, it is offerred to the public for free (No Entrance Fee) as long as we observe silence and wear proper and decent attire.

The pyramid structure of the monastery was made by the national artist Architect Leandro Locsin and was dubbed as a "Magnum Opus" which means "Great Work".

It is very peaceful and pristine but there are also lots of things you can do here:
1. Rent a room at a very affordable rate, free breakfast (1,000pesos)
2. Breakfast with the monks or taste the famous Monk's Blend Coffee (free)
3. Take a morning walk around the monastery and check out their coffee plantation
4. Visit the gift shop where you can buy rosaries, souvenir items and food products including the Monk's Blend coffee
5. Visit their two-storey museum which houses the vestment collection of monk Fr. Dom Martin Gomez. Included in his works are vestments made from piña and abaca fiber.
6. Have a retreat/recollection
