This is a few of my takes on the marlin 336 and the Winchester 94. Both are excellent rifles in their own right, I strongly prefer the Winchester due to its handling and redundant safety. However, the marlin does have some advantages in regards to optics mounting and it's caliber choices (35 rem). The early coil spring hammer Winchester's typically also had worse triggers than the marlins of the same vintage
