Damascus Tanto | Knifemaking

Making handle and scabbard out of iroko wood for a damascus tanto blade forged by @sperber-knives Video about the blade here:

This type of construction can be disassembled completely, the wood tapered pins is the only thing that locks the handle together, everything else is just friction.
This is why I made this tapered pin jig:

I love the look of this iroko wood but It might be too figured for a sleek look of this kind, it's kind of easy to see the split lines, in other kind of more homogeneous woods it would have been less noticeable. It's also splintery so not the best to carve!
