Droplet sizing below a spray boom

With the Oxford Laser P15 and the AAMS support, the droplet under a boom can be measured and defined. With the system, as shown in the video, a characterisation of droplets (VMD, Droplet velocities and all other relevant droplet data) is performed under a spraying boom with overlapping nozzles. The data can be used for analyses, modelling etc.

The video shows the simplicity of operation and handling to measure a frame under a spray boom. In this case, a set of nozzles was measured at 2 and 6 bar on a Fendt sprayer at AGCO Grubbenvorst, NDL. The VMD, Droplet Velocity and the Sauter Diameter are shown individually and in comparison. In every location of the grid as shown in the video, 3 repetitions have been performed with a minimal of 6.000 droplets accepted for processing.
