Mahadevapura, part of East Bengaluru, is located along the Outer Ring Road. While the Bengaluru-Tirupati Highway forms its north-western border, NH-44 or the Outer Ring Road passes through the centre of the locality, dividing it into two halves. Benniganahalli Lake is at the north-western tip, Doddanekundi lake in the south and Mahadevapura lake in the centre. Hoodi, CV Raman Nagar, KR Puram, Marathahalli, Kaggadasapura and Brookfield are some of the major localities surrounding Mahadevapura.

There are many IT parks present in and around Mahadevapura. While Bagmane Tech Park and Bhoruka Technology Park are situated within the locality, ITPL is 5 km away. Devasandra Industrial Estate is 3 km, Brookefield is 5 km, Marathahalli is 7 km, and Whitefield, one of the major IT hubs of Bengaluru, is around 11 km away.
