We went on a one day trip to Garmisch-Partenkirchen this weekend. Garmisch-Partenkirchen, nicknamed Ga-Pa, is an Alpine ski town in Bavaria, southern Germany, 111km from the city of Munich. The spectacular town is positioned at the foot of Germany's highest mountain, Zugspitze, at 2,962 metres above sea level. The town is known as the site of the 1936 Winter Olympic Games.
