Today I’m sharing a very special morning spent at @ColleypitPottery with Maxine. I joined her for her kiln opening, but this video is the behind-the-scenes of our time together — studio chats, laughter, horses, and a little bit of clay play.

After three months away from clay following surgery — and just days before starting radiotherapy — this visit felt like a true tonic. I couldn’t wedge or throw, but I could gently roll and sculpt… and making those funny little worms with Max meant more than I can put into words.

There’s something powerful about being back in a studio. The smell of clay. The warmth. The sound of laughter. The comfort of a creative friend who just gets it.

This vlog is simply an insight into a morning filled with:
• A kiln opening reveal
• A peek inside Maxine’s pottery studio
• Meeting her beautiful horses
• My first gentle touch of clay in months
• So much laughter

Sometimes creativity isn’t about productivity — it’s about healing, connection and community.
