Hatching 70 UK Privet Hawk Moths I Reared From Eggs - with Leon Hills - LEON CREATOR

Last year I caught a female Privet Hawk-Moth in a Robinson Mercury Vapour light trap - she laid 100 eggs & I reared all the Caterpillars. I sold 30 of the massive caterpillars at a show & pupated the other 70 or so. These overwintered in my shed & are now hatching & giving the Privet Hawk-Moth population a little boost. They really are an impressive species with their vivid pink & black striped abdomens & hind wings. The Caterpillars are even more impressive with vivid green bodies with purple & white diagonal stripes & a shiny black tail horn.
