Bachmann Class 66 GBRf Evening Star No.66779 NRM

Bachmann 32-983 NRM, Co-Co Class 66 GBRf "Evening Star" 66779 Diesel-Electric Locomotive. This is an Exclusive, Limited Edition, Highly Detailed Quality model (Gloss Finish) purchased from LocomotionModels.

Being an homage to Swindon Works last Class 9F 92220 "Evening Star" (1960) this Class 66 was the last made for the European Market, manufactured at Muncie, USA in 2015. The model includes a small brass bell for each end of the locomotive (American Requirement) as well as detailing 5 (2-3) Side Access doors. I subsequently fitted Hornby's R8121 Class 66 TTS Sound Decoder which can be heard during this video. It has Full Directional lighting together with Cab Lights. All 12 wheels are driven with the noticeable weight of this model negating the need for any Traction Bands.

As this model features a 21 Pin Decoder Socket, I purchased a Genuine Bachmann 21-8 Pin adaptor, which works perfectly with the Hornby TTS Decoder.
