Born June 30, 1957, Vos started majoring in failure—until he found his calling on comedy stages in the ’80s. He made groundbreaking appearances as the first white comic on Def Comedy Jam (1995), competed on Last Comic Standing (placing 3rd in 2003 and finalist in 2004), and became a regular panelist on *Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn*.

In **2004**, Rich hosted *National Lampoon Live: Down & Dirty*, introducing emerging talents like Joey Diaz, Brian Holtzman, Craig Gass, and Paula Bel—with a few stand-up minutes of his own.
