Recently, I acquired a DJI Phantom 4 Pro and have been out taking photos and videos of some of my favorite places in Alaska. One of those areas is the Suntrana Creek drainage off of Healy Creek. Suntrana Creek presents a wonderful example of the history and geology of Alaska where there is evidence of historic coal mining as well as the ancient geology of the state. Additionally, Suntrana Creek and Healy Creek have shown an active formation and destruction of alluvial fans and outwash fields.
