►Dansk mufflers and SSI headers are as classic as they get for an air-cooled 911. For decades, these two have been a go-to upgrade as a replacement for the original heat exchangers and muffler. Whether you're going for a dual-side outlet or a twin-center exit, this will be the DIY for you.

Porsche's original heat exchangers were relatively restrictive, and now that you don't need to run catalytic converters on the older cars in most places, a set of tuned, equal-length headers with heat exchangers is the best way to free up some horsepower. Combine it with a freer-flowing muffler for the ultimate sound and performance upgrade.
