THE MOST DIFFICULT ENGINE I HAVE TAKEN APART - RUST VS RESTORER - FORD FLATHEAD V8

Описание к видео THE MOST DIFFICULT ENGINE I HAVE TAKEN APART - RUST VS RESTORER - FORD FLATHEAD V8

In this video, join me on a challenging journey as I tackle the most seized and rusted early Ford flathead engine I've ever encountered. It was a true battle against corrosion and decay, but we're trying our best to bring this classic engine back to life!

I start by removing the heads, unveiling a layer of rust, dust and even a surprising hole in one of the pistons. Then, the intake proved to be no walk in the park, with layers of stubborn gunk to clear away. But the real challenge was disassembling the 16 valves with every single guide being seized, which required a lot of patience and determination.

To make the process even more interesting, I had to craft an engine stand to flip the engine over and dismantle the bottom end, and trust me, it wasn't a walk in the park. Using a heavy hammer, I had to coerce the pistons down, adding to the excitement and challenge of this restoration.

Now that the engine is finally taken apart, it's time to assess the damage and determine if this classic piece of automotive history can be salvaged. Don't miss this captivating journey of restoration and the battle against rust - it's all right here in this video! Subscribe, like, and stay tuned for more classic car restoration adventures!
