The armbar from closed guard is one of the signature movements of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The closed guard is a deceptive position, to the untrained eye, it appears as if the person on top is at great advantage. Happily, the person on the bottom actually has the inside track to the submission and it is the person on top who has to be careful not to commit a mistake. In this video, we show you how to take advantage of a common error and attain the armbar from closed guard.
