Ranidu is recognized around the world as the pioneer of electronic music in Sri Lanka. He has released three platinum-selling albums and has performed in 15 countries, including a performance at the Sydney Opera House. He was also the first ever Sri Lankan artist to perform at Ultra Music Festival and Coachella.

Last year, Ranidu introduced his newest venture – Bailatronic – to the world with its debut EP. Bailatronic is a new genre that he created by combining Baila, the folk dance music of Sri Lanka, and various styles of modern electronic dance music. Now, Ranidu extends the genre with the release of his second EP, Bailatronic Vol 2. The EP can be heard in its entirety HERE, and buy links are listed below.

Following the release of the first Bailatronic EP, Ranidu did an official remix of CARNAGE’s “Michael Jordan” for Dim Mak Records, and had a repeat performance at Ultra. He also released bailatronic remixes of “Starlight,” “Tsunami” and “What’s Up Suckaz” that along with his first EP, were supported on BBC Radio 1, BBC Asian Network, and a number of DJs including Steve Aoki, Victor Niglio, Borgore, Tommy Sunshine, Firebeatz and more.
